I designed this logo for a friend of mine when she decided to start her new career as bartender for private events. Everything revolves around her name and what she can do. The letter K was turned into a cocktail glass, a martini glass to be exact, to show that Kira and her job are one.
In the sketches for the logo I was focusing on Kira's name. The main element is the letter K, that could be used alone as a letter mark logo in the future given that it embeds both initials. At first, I wanted to add the name of the job to the logo, then I realized I could do it without actually typying it down. I turned the letter K into a martini glass and added a spear with some olives. The goal was to give all the information by keeping the logo as simple as possible.
For the digital iterations of the logo, I narrowed the logos down to my favorite three designs; the ones I think would represent Kira and her job better.
For the final version of the logo, I went for the thinnest typeface for the letter mark, which resembles a martini glass and better enhances the design elements; on the other hand, I chose a bolder typeface for the full name to make it really stand out. Red and black are the main colors. The choice fell on them because they go really well together, not to mention that the color red is Kira's favorite color.

Final Logo
Following the minimalist style that defines the elements of this project, I created a business card. The design is simple, and the main colors are there to help keep everything consistent. I didn't want to go total red, so I made the front of the business card red with white corners that follow the angle of the top arm of the letter K, while for the back I used a white background with red corners.
Along with the business card mockup, I also designed coaster and apron mockups to show some other accessories Kira would use while working at a private event.
